Bali Hybrid
200 Yoga Teacher Training

Jan 22 - Apr 1, 2025

Go deep into the heart of yoga, the practice of mindfulness and the art of curious self-inquiry.

In our foundational 200 hour training,

we will uncover how the traditional teachings are alive for YOU. From that vital personal connection, we’ll nurture an honest relationship to the practice and see how it can be fostered into sharing it with others.

Our diverse curriculum offers the timeless nature of traditional wisdom shared in a new light of modern context. We encourage questions, perspectives and always, ALWAYS curiosity. Our goal is to support you to take this personally…in a good way!

Our philosophy exchanges cookie cutter molds and rigid formulas for a playful, inclusive approach to yoga’s deep knowledge. Grounded in neuroscience, trauma informed principles and honest inquiry, this training has been lovingly curated to support you in cultivating your inner compass as well as your authentic voice as a teacher.

Your journey will begin with 6 weeks of guided home study led by Jacq St. Pierre supported by our other faculty, for a well mapped out entry into the vast terrain of yoga. The foundations of asana, meditation, pranayama will be explored as well as ayurveda, social equity, and the history of yoga. This will give you a solid architecture coming into our physical sangha (community).

Cole, Kimberly & Andrew will be awaiting you in the fertile lands of Bali to grow, move, and deepen into the embodied experience of this practice. Days will consist of morning sadhana (daily group practice), integrative workshops, and heaps of practice teaching and philosophical investigations. This is a highly experiential training, you will be learning by doing!

Where We'll Be

Our training home is only a cruisy 20 min drive from Bali’s cultural center of Ubud. It’s nestled amongst lush green rice paddies lined with palm trees, providing a nurturing environment conducive to deep inner work. It’s spacious with plenty of room to roam while still being in community.
We have 3 yoga shalas where the deep dive of discovery will unfold as well as onsite massage, lush beautiful gardens, and an open air dining room for home cooked Balinese fusion meals by our lovely local staff!
Each bright and spacious 2 bedroom villa has high ceilings, full kitchen and living area with ample room to dance, practice and wiggle about. The villas share a large bathroom complete with a big beautiful bathtub and there is A/C in all of the bedrooms.

A Day in the Life

After waking up to Balinese bird song and the sun sharing its generous warmth, we’ll meander into the shala for our morning meditation and movement practice. We’ll break for tropical fruit, tea (and coffee don’t worry!) before coming back to delve into using our own voices in our daily practice teaching component, which is so vital for gaining fluency and confidence as a teacher. After a big lunch and maybe a massage, we’ll gather again to immerse in lectures and group discussion, deepening understanding around holding space, philosophy and sequencing methodology. Then a sweet close to the day with a circle, dinner and time for rest and reflection.

Learning to be present with yourself and to abide in that which is steady and comfortable does not allow space for self-judgment. When you live this way, you are practicing yoga: you are living fully.

– Judith Hanson Lasater

This training is for you if you’re…

Whether you plan to teach, are more interested in deepening your personal practice, or are somewhere in between, this training will be a rich and diverse investigation. You will leave equipped with the understanding of the fundamental roots of yoga, how they can support you on your path of life and studentship, as well as how to share it with others from the ever evolving seat of a teacher.

Not only will you get familiar with the foundational elements of this diverse practice, but we will also explore the wisdom and beauty of Bhakti yoga, Buddhism, social equity, Ayurveda, and trauma aware approaches to teaching.

You don’t need an advanced level of yoga practice to participate in the program, what you gain relies not on your physical experience or how flexible you are, but on the curiosity and the willingness you bring. We invite you to begin what we hope is just the beginning of a life long exploration.
As we explore the human experience, it is common to confront some discomfort. While our inner fringe is certainly a place of growth, it is up to you to use your discernment in terms of how far to push, when to pull back, and when to pause.

As facilitators of this training, it is not within our scope of practice to act as a therapist or to provide mental health advice. We are here to support within our capacity as faculty - and we also feel it’s important for all of us as students and teachers to lean into the beautiful responsibility of resourcing and tending to our unique needs on this journey of exploration.

Here's what our students have to say:

"Thank you so much for bringing all this great knowledge into my world. I have connected with both people and information that has stimulated and grown my understanding of yoga, the universe and everything. Jacq and Cole sent their energy, frequency and vibration out into the universe and it resonated with each and everyone of us that came together on this course."

"Thank you for making this training available online - all the way through! Due to my job, I'd be unable to take a leave and take part in any training that is only in person. See you in the next training!"
Iris
France
"Grateful for all the lessons we've learned, for all the laughs we had! Loved the study groups with Jacq! That time of the week was always so great to see where we were at with our personal practice and teaching skills. And those dharma talks, uhh that was hard for me but I loved it! Speaking in public and in a language that is not my native language felt challenging the first times. Much love! Sat Nam!"
Mila
Germany
“I truly believe the schooling that you’ve created is one of a kind. It’s hard for me to imagine that I could have a similar experience in any YTT in the states. You both did a phenomenal job honoring the roots of yoga and India. You all are my inspirations in life, and I hope one day that I can spread the word of yoga as respectfully, eloquently and expansively as you all did. Thank you for this experience and gift!!”

"I don't think a better yoga teacher training exists! Jacq + Cole are so present with all of their students. Even virtually I felt the experience was so potent, organized, and inspiring. Jacq + Cole come very prepared for each session, offer more resources than you can imagine, and are super supportive throughout the whole journey. They also do a good job of creating a connected vibe in the group, I felt bonded to everyone by the end and we never even met in person! Whether you are thinking of making the investment for personal reasons, to explore or deepen your own yoga practice, or because you want to become a yoga instructor, you cannot go wrong with this training. It was one of the best investments I have ever made and I would do it all over again if I could!"
– CHLOE
"Thank you both so so so much it was an incredible journey to share with you. I am forever grateful to have been a part of this course, and so impressed with the course you have designed, very professional and you made us do the work haha I thought I was back at uni for a second there. Which means I felt I was truly learning along the way, and I could identify my developments along the way too. I feel I got to know everyone in the class so well and some of us are keeping in contact. There is only so much that can be done in the time we had and its not a light topic, I loved all of the signature methods you delivered like Tara Brach, these are totally why I love you in the first place, thank you for sharing those gems. I am so keen to do more."
